Clayton Zelin is a physically talented, technically superb defender that is capable of playing forward into the attack. This versatility makes Clayton an asset as both a left marking back, but also as a left or right sided midfielder. Beyond his technical skill, Clayton is always the most physically fit player on the pitch, as his commitment to his craft is unparalleled. Altogether, he is a solid contributor that a coach can count on to lock down his position and put forth an immense effort for his club.
Undrafted by the MLS out of college, Clayton played in the PDL for Colorado Springs Blizzard and Ogden Outlaws, before making his professional indoor soccer debut for the Colorado Predators in 2007.
He continued to play professionally indoors with Colorado Lightning, and was called into the reserve team by the Colorado Rapids in 2009.
